Hazel* has kindly agreed to be interviewed after I heard part of her story during a 1:1 consultation.  In this interview, she shares her journey from a textbook birth to noticing prolapse symptoms a few weeks later; followed by her journey to where she is now.

Hormones:

I said I would check.  Progesterone helps with keeping the muscles and tissues lax during pregnancy, as well as relaxin.

Progesterone drops at birth and relaxin can stay in the body for up to 5 months.  

Having a good training plan and life plan for the 4th trimester is helpful to get you moving and lifting your new baby with the fewest issues (back pain, prolapse etc)
